HARD TO FIGHT NAKED…SEASON FOUR
                  EPISODE 14

We need to act fast, so you can go back to the States. Bestie please stay strong, we are definitely winning this battle. He assured.

Three days soon passed and Jayjay came home with a desiner husband.

Shiny shirt with a shiny matching shoe.
Blue trouser with a blue matching tie.
Afro styled hair and a pink ladies watch.

Ohemaa stared at him from head to toe and turned to Jayjay.

He smiled and winked at her.

She turned back to her new found husband.

Erm, what’s your name? She asked.

All the same, my name is John. I am typically called Jonny. Show me some respect and tell me yours.

Wow. Such English. Call me Ohemaa. Disappointedly, she replied.

I love that! Ohemaa is a grateful name. You are simply elastic. Jonny complimented.

Now talk to me, I learnt you are searching for a husband.
Look no more, the original Kente husband is here to marry you. Call me your kente husband and not an ordinary husband material. He foolishly bragged.

Ohemaa looked on in displeasure.

Anyway, how much chop money will you put on the centre table every day? He asked.

Unbelievable! Such annoying soul. You are so archaic and duplicate of a man! How dare you! Ohemaa retorted in anger.

What? Jayjay, did you hear her? Did you bring me here to be insulted after all these years of grooming myself in my hometown for a borga wife to marry me? Jonny angrily turned to Jayjay.

Madam, if a woman can groom herself for a man, why can’t a man do same? If a woman can depend on her husband’s riches, why can’t a man do same?
Listen to me, I also have my preferences and I seriously frown at unnecessarily quick tempered women like you! Please and please, you can’t marry me. He harshly spoke and walked out on them.

Jayjay burst into laughter.

Jayjay, this is not funny! How dare such a thing, stand in my presence and make demands? Sake of what? She said.

Ohemaa, I thought you needed someone to die in your husband’s place? He began.
Ever seen someone dying before? They talk and act anyhow and that is exactly what Jonny just exhibited. Instead of being angry, I suggest you humble yourself and get married to him by the close of this week, so that, you can go and check up on your husband. He advised till Ohemaa was calm.

The next day, Jayjay again invited Jonny into the house.

This time around, he looked like an abandoned train, unnecessarily tall and rusted.

Jayjay, I can’t enter into a marriage without knowing how much chop money the woman will give me. Please tell me how much I will take every day. Jonny insisted.

Ohemaa angrily lowered her voice and spoke.
Jonny, how much will you please take?

20 cedis per day. Please don’t say it is expensive because, while you are away at work, I will be cleaning the house and cooking as your wife. He stated.

As my wife? She repeated.

Sorry, your kente husband. But, every weekend, you will take me out for dinner and parties. Also, we will go to church on sundays and you will buy me new shirts for that. He demanded.

Fine! When are we getting married? Ohemaa cut him short.

My parents are all ready. Only if yours are, too. He stated.

They fixed a day within the following week for the traditional wedding.

One night around 12am, fearful thoughts run through Ohemaa’s spine about Leo.

Is Leo dead or something? His lines ain’t going through.

Fearfully, she got up and decided to walk out for some fresh air and positive energy.

She overheard Jayjay making a call far away in the garden.

Jonny, stop talking and listen to me. Nothing bad will happen to you.

Smartly, she hid behind one of the flower pots to eavesdrop the conversation.

Jonny, you are doing well with the drama, please don’t spoil it with a certain fear.
The people who will be at the marriage ceremony won’t be your family members, therefore, there wouldn’t be anything as marriage between you two. Jayjay spoke.

I tried to get her, a real husband, but I didn’t succeed. I therefore decided to use you to extort that huge amount of money she has promised giving me. Any delayance from me, and she will go back with the money.
I really pity her, but I pity myself more, when money is involved. Please kill the fear and let’s do this. He convinced.

Ohemaa became speechless and tears began running down her cheeks.

Silently, she tip toed behind him and slapped him unto the floor.

Jayjay fearfully got up and took to his heels.

Ohemaa gave him a hot chase but he scaled the wall and escaped.

Early the next morning, she went out, hired some men and they sneaked into the house at night and set it ablaze, burning Jayjay and his mansion into ashes.

Ohemaa hurriedly bought a ticket to fly back to the States.

She fearfully waited for the departure day in a hotel room when she had a call from Kwame.

Kwame. She answered.

Sis, you are alive. I just heard the news of Jayjay’s demise. I learnt his house has been burnt down into ashes. How come you survived it? He questioned.

Well, I left his house before the incident happened. I am currently in a hotel. She answered.

Ohemaa, your explanation doesn’t add up. Are you sure you don’t have a hand in his death? He interrogated.

Spare me the insults Kwame! What exactly do you take me for? A murderer? She retorted.

Well, I never said so.
Anyway, can I have my money? He demanded.

Money? What money? She questioned.

The money you promised giving me. He answered.

You mean, I should pay you for divorcing your infidel wife? She questioned.

What are you saying Ohemaa? You convinced me into divorcing my wife and here you are speaking nonsense! Don’t you dare play smart with me, don’t! He warned.

And wait a minute, I hope that isn’t why you set Jayjay ablaze? To escape paying him for his services. He smartly thought.

To be continued…
